This national-scale initiative, operated by a semi-governmental organization and serving millions of users daily, approached us for a complete upgrade without interrupting critical business operations.

After analysis, it turned out the client’s legacy system was outdated, rigid, and expensive to maintain. It couldn’t scale, lacked a mobile solution, and required heavy manual work — an impossible fit for modern smart city demands.

As a result, the system suffered from:

  • Limited support for new business models.
  • Poor user experience and lack of real-time data analytics.

PROJECT STORY

When the client approached us, their old legacy system platform was holding them back.

One of the unique constraints was the requirement to keep servers near the client’s main office. It was needed for both security compliance and insurance of ultra-low latency for critical operations.

The previous development team went down the wrong path with monolithic integration significantly slowed the progress. To get the project back on track, we had to modernize the system without any downtime, keeping all business processes fully operational. The real breakthrough came when we switched to microservices, allowing gradual replacement without business disruption.
